Good thing Bernie Madoff got his bail-out first ... ugh

It's so unsatisfying dealing with these people - or not dealing. They won't even let you talk to anyone. They're doing this to so many people now that their menu options *have* changed - "If you're calling about a recent reduction in your available credit, press 1" (no, I'm not kidding).

  1. Hi, I was moving and I didn't update my new address with my bank, so the online payment didn't go through. My account was restricted due to "fraud" until I made a payment. So i made 3 payments, the account is still restricted. I'll probably just pay off and close the account. They shouldn't offer people credit if they don't want you to use the card or make payments on time. Every time I called the "fraud" deparment I got some foreigner who wanted to authorize another payment. I'm like why are you trying to authorize a payment if I'm under suspect for fraud. These guys are just a bunch of scamming crooks. I've made 3 payments and the account is still restricted. I'm through even bothering with these dumbasses.

If you're thinking about capital one, I'd use them only as a last resort.
